This project explores the relationship between art, spirituality and technology that is inspired by the perseverance and endurance life of the ancient Great Basin bristlecone pine forest. Expressing our appreciation of the sacred in creation, and our inner relationship to the symbolic world of the soul. The Sculpted by Time-the Tenacious Life of Bristlecone Pine series is intended to delineate the richness and interconnectedness of the environment, recognize the power and tolerance of the nature, and increase the respect for the world which we all live in.
I have experimented with immersive video which allowed me to see new ways in which visual art is created and interpreted. The 360-degree video resources were taken at the bristlecone pine groves when I conducted the field reseach at the Inyo National Forest, CA in 2019. Below is a short part of the video that I made. Wear VR goggles/glasses and enjoy it.
